Beauty Feature: Colorescience

Press Sample: Colorescience is a cosmetic company that believes that what you put on your face matters. The makeup we create absolutely has to be good for your health, good for the world, and it must make you look and feel better. Even more than that, our makeup should make you look and feel beautiful. Isn’t that what we all deserve? Which to me I love what the company stands for!  For the beauty feature of the day  I have a few products that I want to share with you  from foundation to eye shadow palettes.

Hello Beauty lovers I am excited to bring  you a feature on Colorescience they have a great range of products to choose from that is all mineral based. I will be breaking the products down from foundation to eyeshadow palettes this will be a semi-longer post  so grab a cup of coffee or tea and let's begin.

Foundation Review:
Now I received 2 pressed compact foundations and 2 loose mineral foundation that is made to be taken with you on the go. Your probably thinking how can I take loose mineral foundation on the go? Well Colorescience came out with an amazing product and packaging to easily facilitate bringing loose mineral foundation with you everywhere you go.

Claims on Loose Mineral Powder Foundation $62

  • Provides sheer to medium coverage
  • UVA/UVB sun protection, SPF 20
  • Simple, convenient to use
  • Water-resistant
  • Refillable
Now it's really simple to use, you just tilt the product down and start brushing the product all over your face. It does provide mid coverage and I was shocked to see that after one of my "hot flashes" due to some health issues and the medicines that I am on I could still see the foundation on my skin. I was  skeptical at first but the product really stayed on  that is  pretty impressive in my book! The light weight packaging makes it  convenient to just throw in your purse and take with you everywhere you go for reapplications. There is 14 shades to choose from so you will be able to find a shade that will match your skin complexion.

 Pressed Compact Foundation claims $55:
  • Medium to full coverage
  • Antioxidant and Vitamin-infused
  • Weightless, soothing texture
  • Refillable
  • Sponge included
I love the sleek silver compact of the product which also has a great sized mirror so you can really see when your applying your foundation or touch up. The sponge in my personal opinion is not your normal type of sponge, it really gets the product to apply  nicely and evenly on to the skin. While at the same time not allowing you to get to much product on to the skin leaving you with a cakey finished look. Now unfortunately the shades of the product was to dark to my light/medium skin tone. But that did not stop me from using the product I know by summer time the foundation will be a better match to my skin tone. So in the mean time I have used the foundation for a great contour shade. once blended into the skin it leaves an amazing natural looking contour with a great lasting power. There are 8 shades to choose from.

Pressed Mineral Eye Color Palette claims $48.50:

  • Rich, vivid pure mineral pigment
  • Long-lasting colore and extended wear
  • Smooth, silky application
  • Complementary colore combinations made to wear together or alone
The packaging of the palettes are sleek and  silver light weight and professional looking. The packaging is also very sturdy so when you are taking it with you when you are on the go your eyeshadows are protected.   The product itself comes in 4 different  shade ranges, so you will be able to pick up a palette that would fit your color preference. You can use the eyeshadows wet or dry so that the color pigmentation can intensify. The only con I find in these palettes are that there seems to be 1 shade in each palette that is not as pigmented as the rest so you really have to build up the color or pack it on. But overall the quality of the shadows are high performing.

Pressed Mineral Illuminator claims $50:
 For face, eyes and decollete
  • Refillable
  • Summery golden glow
This product gives you the best champagne highlight you could ever ask for that delivers a natural radiant glow.

Beauty on the Go Mineral Palette $50:
  • Acts as a multi-use palette for the entire face
  • Bronzes, contours, conceals, enhances
  • Portable palette for on-the-go beauty
Uses:
1: Brightening & camouflage
2: Highlighter
3: Cheek colore
4: Bronzer & eye contour
5: Eye Definer

This palette must be in every makeup lover's and professional makeup artists collection. This palette is super pigmented, long wearing. Very multi functioning like Colorescience claims are on this particular product. I will be doing a look with this palette to feature all the different uses and looks you can create  with this 1 product.  So be on the look out for that one dolls.

Gel Eyeliner Claims $29:

  • A rich, crème-gel eyeliner with the ease and control of an eye pencil
  • Easy to apply, quick drying, non-irritating formula
  • Free of Colorescience 'NO' ingredients
This gel liner glides on like butter! Has all the great qualities that I ask for in a gel liner. Long wearing, super pigmented, easy to do a thin line to a dramatic mod winged eye look. Once it sets it is not going NO WHERE! It is no up there with my holy grail gel liner from Sephora and no one compares to my Sephora.
