Birchbox August 2015 has finally arrived and this month Birchbox's Guest Editor box is curated by the famous fashionista, fashion designer,author, amazing mother the Fierce Nicole Richie who also has an amazing hit show on VH1 called Candidly Nicole that airing the 2nd season. If you have been a huge fan of Nicole Richie way before the Simple Life like myself! I was so happy that my Birchbox Arrived even sooner than the 10th I actually received it a couple of days ago which I was totally surprised about but in a good way. This month Nicole aka #nikkifresh picked out products for the Boss Lady to look Fierce no matter what her day looks like with a twist of some Candidly Nicole tips along the way!
This month's box is packed with a splash of flowers and lots of vivid colors just like Nicole's personality!
First up with have my all time favorite Dr.Brandt Microdermabrasion face treatment
This product removes the dead skin and gets right into the deepness of your pores to get the impurities out and leaves your skin feeling super smooth, looking healthier, and brightens up your complexion over time of use. If you have body acne I highly suggest using this after you use your body wash and scrub the areas you have body acne leave on for about 10 minutes and then rinse off. Trust me your back acne or where ever you have the body acne will start going away. I do have a post on how to get rid of those dreaded body acne coming very soon so be on the look out!
This lip and cheek duo is truly one of the stars in this box, I was surprised to enjoy it because LAQA & CO is a hit or miss brand more on the miss side. The lippie glides on the lips and has a satin finish, once applied on the cheeks it doesn't appear to look ashy or anything like that which I have come across with some other brands with this type of particular product so no ashy cheeks makes me very happy!!. And it's long wearing to boot overall it's a well performing and functioning product.
Besides being a curated box by my girl Nikki I had to get this box secondly because of this product. I have always had great results when I used St.Tropez so when I saw their latest and greatest was in this box I had to try it out!I don't know if I am talking out of line here but I think this is the first of it's kind what you are supposed to do is when you jump in the shower you wash your body with this and leave on for 3 minutes in my mind I am leaving it on for like 5 to 10 but I will try out the 3 minutes first lol and when you rinse wala you will start having a gradual natural tan! I know right UNHEARD OF! So goodbye streaks and hello golden goddess in the natural way!
I am always trying to find a product that will control this hot mess of a frizzy rats nest on my head. I particularly never heard of this brand before but with the 31.00 price tag I was expecting miracles and chilis it sure did I tell you it sure did. I was touched by the holy spirit of Rene Furterer's Lissea, this leaves your looking like you straight ironed your hair even if you didn't! Perfect for the dolls who want to look fabulous but have ZERO time in the mornings! Great Choice Nikki!!
The print of the nail color is so small I can't even read it but it's part of the OPI Venice Collection and it's a bronze gold type of shade which is a good neutral for the Summer and Fall doesn't apply streaking and with 2 coats you are good to go.
Well dolls I have to say this month's guest editor curated box was a major HOME RUN! For me it's the best curated box since they started the guest editor boxes. Not because I had a fan girl moment when I saw that Nicole was this month's guest editor but her picks introduced me to a new holy grail hair treatment that keeps this hot mess in check, I get to try out St.Tropez's latest and greatest before I purchased the full size and I can get a good amount of uses out of it. The OPI nail color is a great shade for the transition into Fall, the LAQA & CO cheeky lips is going to be in my purse everyday, and one of my all time favorite Dr.Brandt products. So all in all it was a killer box this month.
