Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette Review

Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar

Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar review and swatches from their Spring and Summer 2015 makeup collection.

Editor Press Samples: Hello Beautiful Dolls Too Faced Cosmetics has some pretty amazing products being launched from their Spring and Summer 2015 collection. I have reviewed 2 other palettes that I received from Too Faced from their amazingly Fierce collection which are Sugar Pop Palette and Natural Matte palette. So today I have for you The Semi-Sweet palette which is the sister to the original Chocolate Bar palette that is a holy grail to many of us makeup addicts. The Chocolate Bar has a great mix of finishes of satin and matte shadows that range from warm neutral shades with a couple shades that are a pop of color for a sultry eye look.

You know how when we see a really great movie then they come out with a sequel and it's a major womp womp. Well if you want to know what I honestly think of the of the Semi Sweet just keep reading.

The Semi Sweet comes in a tin thin light weight palette just like the Chocolate bar, the packaging makes it super easy to take with you if your a doll on the go. As usual TF provided their How-To Glamour Guide which gives you some easy step by step tutorials that will get you looking fierce in less than 5 minutes. I find these very helpful because you can learn different techniques/looks and experiment from your usual color preferences. You get 16 shadows from a mix of shimmery, satin and matte finishes. With this palette I feel there is more cooler toned shadows than warm tones, which I happen to like the diversity of it, makes it more universal for different looks, and colored likes.

I like how TF provided in both the Chocolate and Semi-Sweet palette 2 bigger highlight shades because dolls we all know some of us go crazy with the highlighting shades I know I do! These highlighting shades aren't only to be used to highlight your eyes but you can also use them on the tops of your cheeks, the bridge of your nose, and your  cupids bow when highlighting your face.

Butter Pecan is a satin/shimmer light gold shade with a slight pink undertone
Coconut Creme is a bone white matte shade

One thing I have to say HI FIVE AND KUDDOS to TF for listening to their consumers about placing the names of the shadows above them vs that white clear film page with the names on them. I know I lost mine within a 2 weeks of owning the palette. So knowing the names of the shadows vs hunting them down online is 100 snaps of fierceness.

The majority of the shadows in this palette perform beautifully in building and blending out the color. Alot of them are silky to the touch, not chalky, and most importantly they do not crease.

The ones that didn't shine bright like a diamond in this palette are Pink Sugar this shade to me is more of a topper shade it's a very sheer wash of color with tiny flex of glitter. It does feel a little bit gritty when swatching or when placed over your eye. Nougat in the pan looks like a gorgeous light taupeish peach type of shade but once swatched and placed over the eye for me on my skin tone it becomes non existent on my lids. And lastly Blueberry Swirl I wish it would translate more vibrant onto your eye like it does in the palette. You really have to work in building up this color to get the desired color payoff.

Overall Dolls this palette does get 8.5 Snaps of Fierceness
I do love the diversity of the shades in color tones, and finishes. Making this palette a universal palette for endless looks for any occasion and will suit any color likes from the great range of neutral tones with some shadows that are pops of color.

If you were to ask me which one I preferred it would be a tough one dolls, I love both them equally.
Let me know if any of you have picked up the Semi-Sweet Chocolate bar what you think and what do you think of it compared to the original.

Thanks for Stopping By Until Next Time xoxo-C
