Sigma Beauty who offers professional quality affordable brushes, makeup and beauty tools. Recently released their newest Sigma Spa Brush Cleaning Mat. The cleaning mat is designed for you to deep clean your makeup brushes in a fast and easy way.
Editor Press Samples: Sigma Beauty has launched their newest Spa Brush Cleaning mat that easily fits into most sinks that provides different textures to deep clean your face and eye makeup brushes. The mat is an all pink rubberized mat that is light weight and easy to store after each use.
There's a total of 7 surfaces on the mat which 4 of them are for the main purpose to clean & deep clean your brushes. Underneath the mat to secure it from moving all around in the process of cleaning your brushes there is 10 suction cups all alongside the perimeter. I found it easier to wet the sink first then apply the mat to really secure the mat in the sink.
Sigma provides an easy step by step tutorial on how to use the mat and how to properly wash your face and eye makeup brushes so they do not get damaged in the process and prolong the life span of your brushes. I remember when I first started using brushes and washing them I would have to go out and buy new ones almost every month because I would always get water in the barrel and the glue would come undone, the hairs/fibers of the brushes would loose it's shape and look like a lady coming out of the jungle book lol.
Surfaces
Sigma's Brush Cleaning How-To:
- Place mat to fit in the up-right position in sink
- Secure suction cups onto sink
- Wet brush(es)
- WASH (Face or Eyes Side) – Add a small amount of cleaning solution and water to mat and swirl brush on ‘Wash’ texture to begin deep cleaning the brush(es).
- RINSE (Face or Eyes Side) – Place brush under running water and sweep brush back and forth on the ‘Rinse’ texture of the mat to remove makeup residue & soap.
- REFINE – Swirl brush on the ‘Refine’ texture of the mat for an added deep cleaning
- RINSE (Face or Eyes Side) – Place brush under running water & sweep brush back and forth on the ‘Rinse’ texture for a final rinse.
- REFINE PLUS (Face or Eyes Side) – Repeat cleaning process for a deeper clean
- RINSE (Face or Eyes Side) – Repeat rinsing process to remove excess makeup residue and soap.
- Gently squeeze brush head with your hand to remove excess water.
I do love this mat due to the fact that you are getting quick,easy, and most importantly the best DEEP CLEAN! Your brushes are ever going to have, if you have 2 brush holders full of brushes you seriously can wash all the brushes in less than 10 minutes. Normally it takes me a good half hour to get through a few brushes for deep cleaning and removal of all the makeup residue and to disinfect each brush. With the mat it seriously has changed my brush washing game and I know my brushes aren't getting washed to rough to the point they are going to break, this also prevents me from getting water into areas of the brush that will damage it, and the hairs of the brushes aren't going to go all Jungle Book Mad Women on me so it's pretty amazing the overall quality of the mat's performance to how your brushes feel after they are washed and ready to use for the next round.
The mat is also very easy to wipe down or wash clean it dries fairly quickly and you can roll it up and put it in a safe spot because it won't take that much space.
